Surprise! We're in PC Magazine

Pcmag_june1_2008 PC Magazine has always been kind to Eyejot and we just found out today that we were mentioned in their June 1, 2008 issue. They did a story entitled 529 Computer Tips and, under the section about collaboration, mentioned Eyejot as one of their recommended solutions for video email.

We didn't know about the article until we got a message from a potential customer saying that they had seen the brief write-up and wanted to learn more about Eyejot. I guess we'd better start buying the newstand edition more often! Thanks PC Magazine!

New Tracking Feature

Imagine that you've just spent time thinking about and then composing a great introductory video message to someone. Now what? Did they get it? What did they think? Up until now, you really had no way to know, for sure, whether they had viewed your video message. Now, PRO Plus users of Eyejot can get detailed view status information for any message they've sent. And, it's easy to use.

If you're a PRO Plus member, all you have to do is select a message from your sent folder and press the link labeled view status that appears in the lower right-hand corner. It's underneath the video play window. A pop-up window will appear and show you who opened and viewed your message, and when.

Soon we'll be providing email alerts that give you the same information so you can follow-up to your video messages without even visiting the Eyejot site. If you're not already a PRO Plus member, you can easily upgrade here!

SalesTeamTools covers Eyejot

Jan Visser's SalesTeamTools blog, which has been covered in a New York Times article about the need for small businesses to stay connected with customers, recently wrote about Eyejot. In a post entitled Make Your Email Messages Stand Out Jan informs his readers that 25 billion "non-spam" [regular] email messages are sent every day and that the average business person sends and receives 600 of them every week.

That's why he shared Eyejot with his readers and seemed to really appreciate how simple we made the product. He also highlighted some features many people miss when they first look at Eyejot, like our support for RSS and iTunes. He promises to share some of our other cool features with his readers soon, so we'll look forward to seeing that post when it's available.

New Media and Eyejot

Al Krueger, a branding and public relations professional, posts about Eyejot in a piece entitled New Media For You. One of the features he's hoping to see form us is the ability to attach documents.

While our Eyejot This! feature can help annotate web pages that may have links on them to documents, Al will be happy to learn that we're planning to support document attachments directly, soon. We think it will become an indispensable tool for professionals including media and branding experts, lawyers, investment advisors and people involved in the real estate industry - to name a small segment.
